so i was going to do an interior detail this week on my car, and was wondering if the abrasives in glass polishes (specifically 1Z cause thats what i'll be using) would damage the rear defroster?

    comments would be appreciated, thanks!

why you need to do rear glass with polish? did you try to just using menzerna 203 or 106 to do the job? most likely they are fine, glass polish i would imagine has harder cutting chemicals then for paint

I for one would not use a polish on the inside of your rear window. unless you have a dog or cat, the inside should not be scratched. I have used polish on the outside of rear windows to remove scratches and swirls. when polishing glass be careful. for the rear inside a nice mf towel and a good glass cleaner should be all that you need. if you damage the rear defroster it will be an expensive repair. I have not used the glass polish you are talking about but even if it is mostly a chemical one , who knows how it will react with the rear defroster.
