Any more info on this product? Is it the same as Poli-Seal?
Do you use the MF polishing pad with it?

Optimum GPS is a sprayable version of Poli Seal. The two are very similar in function, but GPS has an edge via the spray application. This feature really shines with our new MF pads, but is also apparent with foam.

Glaze: GPS can have a filling effect when applied by hand or not worked long. It produces a high gloss shine and looks very wet.

Polish: With pad choice, pressure, and a longer work time you can remove and not just hide minor defects while still finishing like using a finishing polish.

Seal: Our advanced polymer blend leaves 3-4 months of protection behind on top of a clean and polished surface.

We will continue to produce Poli Seal so that we can maintain our paste and spray lines independantly. The benefits of GPS are much less product used, less pad clogging from over application, and even pad priming uses the whole face of the pad for faster results.

I'm very sorry, but we're not going to ship to Canada anymore except to our distributors. My last Canadian order took 26 days for the customer to get it and we have to make special trips to the USPS, just to ship when FedEx picks up US orders at our warehouse with no effort from us. It's just a pain in the ass all the way around. You can still enter, but we'll have to ship to a US address and you can retrieve it from there.

My friend Chris @ Optimum sent me some new Optimum Compound and Polish formula's to test and review:

Well today I started a detail(paint correction/protection) on a 2000' Buick LeSabre Custom.I thought today would be a good day as any to give these new Optimum formula's a test and see how they performed with the temperatures being in the 100's:
    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01441.jpg?t=1310421027

I pulled the Buick outside to get some sun shot's showing the defect's.With the vehicle's color being Bronze,it was a little hard to see the defect's BUT they were there:
    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01428.jpg?t=1310421163

    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01429.jpg?t=1310421151

    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01430.jpg?t=1310421140

On into the garage.I didn't want to add more heat lighting up the halogen's in this 100deg. weather,so I decided to use my LED's.These are great alternative when the weather gets this hot out. They do a very good job at showing me what needs to be corrected and where I'm at with progress:

    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01437.jpg?t=1310421060

Before starting to correct the defect's,I washed the vehicle with ONR and proceeded to clay. This is just from a section of the hood:
    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01436.jpg?t=1310421071

For the correction process,I'll be using my FlexPE and my favorite Constant Pressure buffing pads. That hopefully AG will be offering soon:
    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01439.jpg?t=1310421037

I could see some deeper defects in the paint,so I did a test spot with the Optimum PolishII.The PII didn't give me the initial result's I was looking for,so I moved on to the CompoundII and a Orange CPP.I worked a section with the FlexPE on setting4(1500rpm's).This is after 5-6 section passes. The CompoundII produced NO DUST:
    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01442.jpg?t=1310421014

I then proceeded with a white CPP and the PolishII.Again working with the FlexPE on setting4 and made 5-6 section passes.Yup,NO DUSTING:

    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01444.jpg?t=1310421004

After the PolishII,I moved to a Black CPP and the Finish Polish. This time I turned the FlexPE down to setting3(1200rpm's) and worked it 5-6 section passes. You guessed it,NO DUSTING:
    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01445.jpg?t=1310420991

For my final wipe down,I used Optimum Power Clean(3:1) and had a rinse bucket to remove any PowerClean residue.
    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01446.jpg?t=1310420979

I seen a couple of deeper scratches that had to be gone over again. So back to the CompoundII,PolishII,and finally the Finish Polish. Now that looks better:

    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01451.jpg?t=1310420919

    Extreme close-up's:

    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01448.jpg?t=1310420954

One more final wipe with PowerClean and a good rinsing of any PowerClean residue,I put a layer of Optimum Car Wax on the hood:
    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01452.jpg?t=1310420908

Now it's time to pull the vehicle outside to check the defect correction under the sunlight:
    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01458.jpg?t=1310420811

    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01455.jpg?t=1310420861

Sorry, this one did not focus properly:

    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01457.jpg?t=1310420828
    And the money shot:

    http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd466/ImpressiveImageDetailing/100Deg%20and%20Optimum/DSC01454.jpg?t=1310420874

I would have to say,I'm Impressed with how these (3) new Optimum formula's performed, especially in 100deg. weather. The work times are nice and long, excellent correction, and finish down awesome. And one other benefit from these Optimum Compounds/Polishes-NO DUSTING

I would like to Thank Chris from Optimum for letting me sample these new formula's and to all AG forum members for looking.

Of course it's your perogotive to buy whatever line suits you, but your comment is unnecessary and unappreciated. We have distributors around the world from which anyone in that particular country can buy from. My choice as a US based distributor to only ship domestically and put domestic limitations on contest entries is logical and justifiable. My post was not "whining" but a simple explaination to those who post how "Canucks get the shaft again" in every single thread that limits shipping to the US. At one point I even tried to contact our Canadian distributor to see if he wanted to mirror my contests so that more could participate, but I never recieved a reply and assume that meant he wasn't interested.

It's common knowlege that customs and shipping charges make shipping to Canada a dreaded task for anyone, so most logical people should understand.

Chris I did this review for the guys over at Modded Mustangs in the detailing section on ONR. Phil is even on there to give the guys great deals on products and advice. This weekend is going to be my first ONR wash for this winter since I have stored away my pressure washer for the winter time. I also just go in some Opti-Clean to use when its just dusty last week from a friend that I did a trade with for some of my OID.

I just washed my car this week-end and used Optimum Car Wax on it. Does that count as a contest entry?
