This is neat it shows you who calibrated the machine, so if it's not working properly I know who to blame

That is real handy..... Nothing cures the pure excitment of opening up a new package than coming with it's own KY gel! Glad you got em, I was starting to get worried, first time I did the whole drop shipping thing.... LOL

Yup, review is coming up boys.

Now I've been reading the manual it came with and the manual is telling me to use the Ultrasonic Couplant (green bottle above/gel) every single time I use the gauge? It also says that water is a good couplant for smooth coatings...oh wait never mind..it says..."use the supplied glycol gel for rougher coatings."

So then this couplant is recomended when your measuring rough surfaces like concrete for example which are not flat nor smooth surfaces.

So then I'm guessing that when taking readings on a plastic panels/fiber glass panels of a vehicle I shouldn't need to use the Ultrasonic Couplant (gel)?

I need to verify this with Rich, he has this same gauge.....mmm...interesting...nothing interesting.

Bro, the things these gauges can do are insane!!!!

I just finished reading the manual on the 200 gauge...and it has the potential to graph multiple layers, the minimum and maximum "Gates"...according to the manual "Gates" are manualy set numbers, set by users..it's wicked :headbang:

Just need to play around with it to get the feel for it.

Doesn't it also have the ability to connect to a computer and graph all of your readings?

Yes it does but Chris didn't get that for me..he talked me out of it :bat:

But I'll be ordering it in shortly :p: hahaha Chris would you like to get it for me :scared:

Now to read the manual for the 6000 gauge :woot:

chris, did you not know that carlos will orderit sooner or later. I guees its a way of delaying income to distubtie over the year. but either way it will happen. :chitchat:

:D it is -10 outside hahaha.

Products like tire dressings freeze on contact! Polishing paint is a bit of a paint too because if you lay down your line it can freeze before you get to it. I am not sure when I found this out it might have been colder than -10, but detailing is no fun without a heater. I hope Saturday turns out okay haha. If it doesn't then I will have to reschedule my detail :(

Warm :what: no way.....no I haven't tried them out just yet...I've been doing a bunch of reading on the gauges first :missy: after all the reading is done then I get to play with it. If I'm lucky maybe tonight I might be able to go play in my garage :chest:

You still have this account :gasp: better not let DB Boss see this one he might just :banned: you

hahahaha just teasing. He hardly visits here only when needs to he will come in.

yea a frigin tiny heater, maybe next summer I'll get the gas heater installed....thing is I don't think we will be at this house for a lon time.....but will see. The heater heats enough to make it workable so good enough...it gets the temperature to about 22C aaaaa..good enough I guess :woopdedoo:

22C, thats almost to hot to detail in. I like a nice 15/16C. Its perfect weather, but 22 thats likesummer. to hot for me

LOL I don't have the rights to delete it, and I was checking what the regular account could do in the way of attachments.

:D 18C is the perfect detailing temp. Polishes break down just fast without dusting, you are warm. Life is good.
