This car was from a repeat customer of THIS job. Again, he drove several hours for me to do his car. This baby is a 2008 135i Convertible that had only 8,000km (5,000mi) on it. Definitely a garage queen for a 5 year old car which he has owned since new! For this car I talked him into CQF. I really thought it would be a better fit for this car than the OG, and luckily he agreed. We got started early in the morning (he was away from his house at 5 am) and still being half asleep, I completely forgot to take any before shots. Sorry. It was in great condition anyway as you can imagine with such low km's. The wheels had the typical BMW dust on the outside and road tar on the barrels that was dealt with via IronX and Tarminator followed by a soap wash with DG 901. The top was done next with a 50/50 dilution of ARO. The paint was then foamed and washed with a strong mix of DG 901 + Megs Hyper Wash. Then, an additional wash with IX paste on a grout sponge was the last step.
The car was then pulled inside and the owner vacuumed the top dry while I clayed it with a CP Elastofoam block.
The paint had only some minor marks which a one step process would easily knock out. I ended up going with an orange B/S pad and Sonax PF using my Flex 3401. This did a beautiful job of amplifying the flake. That was followed by an Eraser wipedown. I did not do a DG Squeaky Clean stage on this car due to time constraints (it had to be done that day).
Here is a shot of the owner helping me out:

The windshield was done first with FlyBy30 and the rest of the glass, wheels and paint was done with CQF (2 coats). At some points during the polishing stage it was raining outside. When the polishing was done, it had turned sunny, but it was a strange weather day and looked like it could rain again, so we decided to snap a bunch of shots before being coated. The tires have not been dressed, nor was the trim done at this point. Here is the uncoated natural beauty of this glorious black metallic:

So, after taking these shots, it was brought back inside to coat. Each panel was cured with an IR light as well. The trim was done with DLux and the tires shot via air gun with DG Tire Shine and then levelled with an applicator. The barrels were shot with Permanon via an air gun and blown dry. It was a very comfortable day to work temperature-wise and we didn't even need to put the A/C on. I think we ended up being 8 hours on this car. Forgive the duplication of some of the shots, but it's interesting to see the effect that CQF had on the look! I think the owner was very pleased we used this product on his baby!! Obviously the weather co-operated with us for the rest of the day too.

BTW, my sincere apologies for the following pic. I wanted the owner next to his car, but he insisted on my fat, smiling ass being there. You were warned. Turn away now if you're weak of stomach!
