I have this Rotary, also the Makita 9227C, grew up using Dewalt, etc., and all of them are bigger and heavier than this Flex Rotary. It is a really nice, balanced, machine. The soft start at 600rpm is great, the people that make this and all the Flex products make huge machines that polish stone and really hard stuff, so you know this is great quality and design. If you compound and polish all day, day in and day out, this machine is really nice. I use mine more than my other Rotaries now. Dan F
