I just got an 8gb itouch last week... I now decided I want a 16gb itouch. I am contemplating to sell my itouch and I am asking $200. As stated it is basically brand new, it has had a protective cover on the screen and a hard case cover on the entire exterior since it was removed from the box so it is in pristine condition.... I have the iPhone, but the iTouch is perfect for people that want everything the phone has, without the AT&T contract!
apple has prepay cards for the phone now.. you don't need to buy a contract.. if you just bought the itouch last week.. why don't you return it and get the bigger one? they should take it back no problem!!
but don't you need a cellular phone anyway??? If it works, and you get all the bars, contract shoudn't bother. It only bothers when you get bad reception.
