I just got my vehicle back from the shop today, and a couple areas received some fresh paint.

The shop said wait 30 days until I can wax it.

    Now my questions are:

    1. What can I wash the fresh paint with?

    2. Can I use drying towels on it?

    3. Should I aviod all chemicals, i.e. Quick Detailer and Drying Aids?

This is the first time I have had to experience this, so sorry for the dumb questions.

    Thanks,
    -Roger.

I'm no expert, but I can give my input.

You can wash the car no problem, just don't rub too hard on places that have been done. Same thing goes for drying/towels, go lightly. The reason behind no waxing for a month is simple: although the paint is dry to the touch, it needs some time to completely cure and have all chemicals evaporate from it. Waxing will keep these chemicals in. Quick detailers contain chemicals with the same properties as wax, so I would advise against them. 1 month is not a long time, so deal against the urge to wax it right away and you'll be through it before you know it! :)
