I don't know the official name of them but I've heard others call them surgical huck towels. Anyways, they are around 14" x 20". I used them with IG aerosol and they worked perfect. And the best part of all is my wife gets them for me for free from her work.(hospital)
Negative, they come in packs of 5 or something. Once the plastic bag is opened they become unsterilized so if they only use 2 out of the 5 they can't use the other 3 and have to get rid of them. They put them out for the taking. If she was stealing them, I wouldn't be posting about it on a public forum.
LOL. my wife is a NP and and Josh is right, legally once the sterile field (bag is broken) it has to be destroyed, i have bags of these in my laundry room. My wife brings them home or they get incinerated. Tip on these if people use them, make sure they are washed like MF towels. or they will streak. I actually prefer pre washed yellow Costco MF towels for glass, they absorb better then the blue towels. Thus the ones we have laying around are used for cleaning etc
Just yankin your chain Josh, someone sent me one of those towels but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. They look perfect for glass.
Actually the towels in the plastic bag are not "sterile" until they come out of a sterilizer with chemical/mechanical indicator tests passed may it be ETO gas, steam, vaporized hydrogen peroxide etc... No hospital or surgery center would ever use these in a room right out of the bag if they did jcaho would come in and lay the smack down. But back on topic these things do rock for cleaning glass
Just to reiterate, my wife IS NOT stealing these. If you would like to try some I can send some out. Obviously you would need to cover shipping.
