What dilution ratio would I use to foam my truck down without stripping off the wax? I have athe pwMall FC and want to foam down my truck, but leave the wax unharmed. I have the following soaps: CarLack 68 Shampoo ONR Meg's #00 Meg's Hyperwash DG 901 1Z Perlz CG CWG CG CWC Tropi-Care Citrus Wash Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo Majestic Solutions Super Foam Thanks In Advance, -Roger
Try Megs Hyper Wash (least aggressive), or DG #901/902 (a bit stronger) - 2-3 oz in 32 oz bottle, fill the rest with water... If you use CWC or CWG at good foaming ratios, they might strip your carnauba LSP... Best foaming shampoo I've used up to date is DP Xtreme foam formula, it is real snow foam!
LSP stripping is a function of the type of concentrate used, more so than the dilution ratio. DP Xtreme foam formula 1-2 oz is a great snow foam
Try the least aggressive approach first 2-3 oz of Hyper Wash...If needed, add an ounce of CWC or CWG to that mix...
That is what I use ans it foams pretty nice in a foam gun and bet even better in a foam lance. Out of the soaps you have I would do what supercharged said and try hyperfoam.
Are people foaming when doing weekly washes? I'm looking to do so just because I love to use the foam lance. I dont want to deteriorate my LSP at every weekly wash though. Right now, I ONR wash weekly.
Foaming weekly wont hurt the LSp if done in the right dilution ratio/ right soap used. It would be the same thing as washing weekly, and not stripping your wax by using the same procedures and soap.
Some ratios/concentrates have to be better than others for regular washing. I like Perls for traditional washing, but it's not very "foamy" via the lance. ONR is nice when added to Citrus Wash and Clear also. But again, Im concerned with stripping.
Meguiar's Hyperwash is nice thru a foam lance. creates pretty good suds, and 1-2 oz per 32oz bottle (rest filled with water) does a nice job in creating a pretty good amount of foam. and at that dilution ratio will not strip wax.
I alternate between Optimum and Poorboy's SS&S in my foam cannon. Both work really well and won't strip the LSP. I just throw a couple ounces in a 32 oz. bottle and fill the rest with warm water. Using warm/hot water I find helps the soap to dissolve in the bottle since 2 oz of soap in 30 oz of water is a high ratio as the soap is designed to be used 2 oz in 3-4 gallons of water.
it also depends largely on what type of soap you using for the foam canon or foam gun for that matter. for example you can use as much soap from Dodo juice wash and wax soap which is green in color, it mainly uses nuba for extra shine and protection, but on the other hand you can only use 1-3 ounces of 3M soap or any other soap that does not have nubas in it or gloss enhancers.
