I'm thinking about picking up a foam gun from Costco and wonder if anybody has any experience with this type of tool and whether it is worth the investment (~$25). The particular model is Bonaire Wash-n-Rinse and comes with what looks like a fire hose nozzel. I cannot find much information on this product online. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Would the use of a foam gun be a substitute to the 2 bucket method, or would it just be used as a prewash to soak the car with soap, rinse.. then followed by a 2 bucket wash? Thanks
these work for putting soap on the car IME, but they don't foam well at all. I still prefer my normal foam gun.
I have one like that and I got it from Pepboys. I personally like it since I don't have a pressure washer and while it does not give as much foam as maybe the foam gun would, it can completely cover the whole with a good amount of shampoo. I'll try to remember to take a picture to show how it foams, but I just washed my car so it might be a little while lol. To your second question, I use it as a prewash and then still do the two bucket wash method after.
That MTM foam lance looks sweet, but I dont have a pressure washer. Just looking for something to attach to the garden hose. Would the type of wash chosen to be used make a huge difference? Something like CG Maxi-suds
If its at Costco buy it, if you dont like it take it back and tell them it sucks, they seem to be happy to have user feedback and if they recieve enough complaints they will remove the product.
