I'm toying around with my Foam Cannon from polished bliss. It's exactly the same thing that AutoGeek sells. I have a Gilmour foam gun too, and I know sliding the brass 'adjustment' rod to a more 'open' setting uses more of the tank's mixture as it's coming out of the gun. I assume the same thing is happening with the foam cannon? Problem is I can see no perceivable difference between completely closed (snug with the cannon body) and wide open other than the hole you are exposing by opening it spits out a little water. Am I just using a soap that I've reached it's foaming limits? (Meguiar's NXT by the way) or am I mistaken in what the adjustment knob does?
just order some maxi-suds II and you'll be on your way! You maybe able to find some duragloss 901 at an auto parts store, thats the only one I can think of otc
Meguiars Gold Class looks like it foams pretty well through a foam cannon. YouTube - Touchless Carwash
I use Gold class it foams OK but doesn't dwell long... It is too thick to use straight so I put the amount I need in the soap vessel and add water to fill the vessel and it works well... But I just order Maxi Suds II earlier this week Almost out of gold class and you use more material with having to cut it with water...
I think most people dilute their soap with water to make it easier to suck up? Dwelling here in TX is impossible. Soap wants to dry on the car. Not too concerned with dwell right now.
Depends on the soap. Most stuff won't need to be cut with water to be sucked up. I know the Adam's carwash and the Armorall Stuff I have doesn;t need to be cut. But because the Gold Class is so thick it does (it is a really nice soap though, I have been using it for years now for bucket washes.)
