What was supposed to be an "easy" detail turned out to be a nightmare. This was contaminated that I had to do the ABC Decon TWICE! And even after that it still had enough film to catch my pads and make my Metabo AND my Flex overheat and go into shut down. I had to bust out the Makita to finish the job.

What made it worse was that the paint was so thin I couldnt really use anything more abrasive than SIP and a little of M105 because I didnt want to cut through the clear.....

Now that is white! Nice work FMINUS! :applause2: :worship2:

    One question...
What in the world did the car have on it that 2 decon washes AND the clay didn't remove? :shead:

Looks great! Do the S2000s generally have thin clears, or had this one been aggressively detailed in the past?

I wish someone would explain what Valuegard ABC did. I always get confused when seeing that product. What does it do that claying cannot?

Great detail though Phil seems like you really had to work to achieve perfection on this one.

Looks great. Those S2000s always have really thin paint/clear, as do most honda though I guess

Great job as always! I see that not only are you the master of black cars but white as well. Man there is no limit to you is it?

I believe a decontamination system does the same job as a claybar, it's just a chemical treatment so it's not abrasive like clay. Also, IIRC, it will remove more contamination than claying would.

I'm guessing it's similar to the Finish Kare decontamination system, used for way old cars with tons of contamination. So, by theory, it should remove more than a clay bar. I think it deep cleans.

Anyone know how we can get this ValuGard system? The "Contact Us" text on the bottom of their website isn't a link to anything, it's just text. Maybe I'll try and get them on the phone tomorrow...
