Designers Edge 130 Watt Fluorescent Twin head Worklight - L-2005 at The Home Depot Found these on Home Depot, you think worth it or not? Better to stick with halogens?
Looks like a nice set. One thing is for sure, they should be a lot cooler than halogens. Price isn't too bad. If you get it, let me know how you like it.
For my eyes, Halogen works great on dark colors but on lighter colors the "daylight" florescent makes it much easier to find swirls.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. When I polish light-colored vehicles , I always verify my work with my TK40. Before the TK40, I used to drive to the nearby gas station that has tons of florescent lights. I know it's kinda ghetto, but it worked great!!
I have metal halides, T5 flourescents, 3M Sun Gun, a Fenix TK10 as well as 250 and 500 watt halogens. I recently grabbed a worklight with a 200watt CFL in it to compare. Its great for lighting stuff up but doesn't work as well for showing defects in paint. Stick to your halogens and TK10 for that.
