Can you use 6.5" pads with a Flex L3403 Lightweight Rotary Polisher?

The kits on DD and Autogeek are with 5.5" pads. I have a bunch of 6.5" pads and was hoping I could just buy a backing plate and use the pads I have. Thanks!

theoretically yes you could use 6.5 pads but i have been using 5.5 and getting great results. i think (my opinion) it would be pushing this tool to use 6.5. been using the 3 m cushioned backing plate with this and wow.

Yes you can. I prefer the 5.5" pads as well but have used 6.5s on my 3403 without issue.

I too use 5.5" pads with the 3403, but have used 6.5" with no issues. Reall like 3M and Kompressor pads.

5.5 works great but 6.5 can be used without issue with this machine.

You can use the 6.5 inch pads but its best to use 5.5 inch pads in my opinion
