Well, I kept this around. I've used it about 3 times since I bought it in march. Great condition. Shows a bit shop rash on top but other then that's perfect. Cleaned after every use, Inside and Out. If anyone's interested in a great deal on an awesome polisher let me know. The 3m is mint as well! It will go on ebay after a week so please don't hesitate to ask.
How exactly is this upgraded from the 3401? And if you'd PM me your asking "ballpark" price, that'd be great.
Chase the 3403 is a Rotary tool, as the 3401 is not, different ballgame. The pe14-2 from flex is also a rotary and is one of the machines I have as well. Also do you have a picture of the backing plate and which 3M bp is it size wise?
Ah, sorry thought it uploaded. The BP is a 5.5 inch, the infamous hook an loop. Does not come with box, I got rid of it. The 3401 is an R.O. aka random orbital, the 3403 is a small compact rotary.
The Flex 3403 is a lightweight Rotary with a loud gear sound, no soft start, and starts at 1100rpm I believe. The machine here looks brand new and not abused. If you like to run a Rotary at a minimum of 1100rpm to start, and higher, then this machine will be just fine. I prefer the Flex PE14-2 150 with its soft start at 600 rpm for my Shop, and sometimes use the Makita 9227c because I want the extra weight.. Dan F
Thanks Dan I just upgraded to the PE 14-2. On top of the 3403, I have a hitachi Sp18Va and a Dodo juice spin doctor so I really have too many rotaries. How do you like the Pe? I'm excited for mine!
