This weekend I plan to polish my wife's black Honda Pilot. It really needs it and I plan to clay then use Meguiars 205 with my PC followed by an IPA wipedown and then Collinite 845.

Was not planning a more abrasive polish before the 205.

Do you think the 205 alone will leave a nice finish?

You should be fine with 205 by itself. Unless the paint is totally trashed you might need to use a compound before 205. But for scratches/swirls it should do fine and will add some nice gloss.
After you polish I personally would rinse the car down just to make sure. Then IPA.
By the way what pads will you be using?

I plan the use the Uber orange medium polishing pad or the Uber green polishing pad. Probably the orange since the polish is fairly mild. Thoughts?

I would start with green. Then check your work. If you're not getting the results you want then step up to the orange. The green uber is very versatile.
