So, I'm planning to polish my B6 S4 using HD Adapt, then most likely seal with either Duragloss 105, or Optimum Opti-Seal. Not sure how wide a range of pad colors I'll need, and how many of each. I'm planning on getting the Uber 5 pack from Detailers Domain. I'm thinking two Orange, then ??? Here's a shot of the sort of the swirls most common on the vehicle:
As long as the paint isn't too hard you should be able to get by with green pads on that from my little experience. I don't know how much cut adapt has though.
start with a green pad test an area of the car with it and see if it removes the swirls if so great if not then move to the orange pad
Hd adapt has a decent amount of cut but IIRC, that paint is on the hard side. That being said, you could probably 1 step that metallic with orange or green, whichever gives you the best combo of cut/finish after some testing.
