Hey everyone, here is my first show and shine on DB, hope you enjoy. I spent this weekend cleaning up my girlfriends Corolla, which suffered quite a bit of damage from the rough and long winter which we had this year. The car is a 2005 with 45,000 miles on it and I have taken care of it almost its whole life. I have used a variety of products on it and decided to keep that trend going. Previously it has received coats of Four Star UPP (non PCed), Poorboy’s Natty’s Blue, Zaino Z1 & Z5, Duragloss 105, Optimum Opt-iseal, Optimum Car Wax, and so on. Since the car had a lot of marring and swirling I decided to use Wolfgang’s new polishes, Total Swirl Remover 3.0 and the Finishing Glaze 3.0. The TSR3.0 was use with my Makita with a 7.5” Lake Country white polishing pad. I spread the product at 600 RPMs, then did the pyramid, 900 to 1500 to 900 and back to 600. There was virtually zero dusting. Last time I used the TSR3.0 it was a tad difficult to use but I continued experimenting and found a process that worked. A mist of 50/50 alcohol and water on the pad plus a 1-2” bead of product per panel made the polish work flawlessly. I used the same technique with the FG3.0 but this time I used the UDM, speed 6 with a 5.5” Lake Country white CCS polishing pad. After the polishing was done I did a 50/50 wipe down and pulled the car in the sun for inspection. While the car was outside I decided to use Poorboy’s White Diamond glaze in full sun. I applied with a PC and a 7.5” Lake Country blue finishing pad on speed 3. The results were very nice and left the finish very slick. After 4-5 hours I applied a layer of Meguiar’s #26 by hand. The next day I came back and did a spit shine with OCW and Natty’s Red. The after’s with the wax are a day after the polishing pictures so the lighting is slightly different but still in full sun. The vehicle is very slick and glossy. Enough typing onto the pictures! I think it look's awesome and the wetness is great, also the correction process too! Great job Bud!!!!!:drinking2:
Thanks for the reply zoomzoom, it definitely was a worthwhile detail. Tonya, I too like that picture, the orange flake looks great in the sun. At least I will be able to keep it in this condition since the weather is better now. I haven't used a lot of carnauba products lately, it's always nice to see the infamous 'carnauba glow'.
Just one coat over the Meguiar's #26. Not a traditional spit shine to get multiple layers of carnauba, but to get the look of OCW and a paste wax. It didn;t have the same effect that I've seen on silver vehicles (nice reflections, clear, yet very glossy) but it looks great none the less. I normally wouldn't apply so many 'LSPs' (for a lack of a better word) but it's always fun to experiment a little. Thanks for you comments Al .
Budman..great to see your 1st S&S post! You got the Corolla looking great. Funny how many products end up getting tested on our own rides, eh? Sorry to take so long to see it.

Thanks for the replies fellas, more will be coming, just don't know when . Nica, I've posted this car a few times since it's around a lot, a repeat customer per se  Here it is w/ UPP a few years ago when the car was new- it is at dusk but you get the idea  And here is with Zaino:
