Well I finally applied Autoglym High Definition really liked the look it gave my GT. Steps taken today.

    1. Washed wheels, wheel wells, tires, exhaust with Zep citrus at 4:1 with appropriate wheel and tires brushes.
    2. Foamed down with mixture of 2 oz of Mothers California Gold and 4:1 of Zep citrus let it sit for 2 to 3 minutes minutes. To remove my old coats of BFWD.
    3. Rinsed.
    4. Washed with DI sheep skin mitt via 1.5 oz ONR to 3 gallons of water and 5 gallons of rinse water with grit guards, Pre treated panels with ONR at QD dilution.
    5. Dried with Pakshak Ultra Soft WW and ONR at QD dilution as a drying aid also a Mother Wheel and Jamb WW towel for exactly those areas that Jim from Mothers sent me both of my new WW are great.
    6. 70% IPA and distilled water at 1:1 using Mothers Plush Double Sided microfiber towels that Jim from Mothers sent me.
    7. AG HD applied. I filled and extra bucket with 1 gallon of hot water to keep my applicator pad moist to apply AG HD thinly. I came up with this idea last minute and it worked out amazingly. AG HD went on like butter. I used very little to coat my entire GT. I have 95+% of that container left.
    8. Removed AG HD after 30 minutes of cure time to do his I used a CG Monster microfiber and a DI plush double sided microfiber also the AG microfiber just to try it out for kicks.
    9. Optibond tire gel with a microfiber tire applicator for my tires.
    10. DUSTSTORM COURTESY OF THE SHITTY CITY OF EL PASO TX TO SEND ALL MY WORK TO THE HELL! MY RIDE NOW NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY RE WASHED AGAIN DIDNT EVEN LAST 1 HOUR BEFORE IT WAS COVERED WITH A THICK LAYER OF DIRT AND DUST! GOOD THING IS THAT I AM GOING TO CORRECT IT SOON SO THIS WAS JUST TO ADD A BIT OF PROTECTION FOR THE MEAN TIME.

PICS BEFORE THE DUSTSTORM STARTED BUT AFTER APPLYING AG HD.

    Thanks man!

Yes it does :) it gives my black paint a glossy look

Thanks Frankie, I might take you up on that offer if I decide to go with Cquartz:)

Domino I will keep the thread updated. The headlights on the 03 and 04 Mustang GT's actually come that way. They are not tinted, the inner hosing is black plastic with just some of the reflective mirror plastic. They are not the traditional fully mirrored coated reflective plastic that most headlight have, which gives them a tinted look from a far.

Good job Danny, Those dust storms are a bitch out there, its also exacerbated by the fact that nubas generally are dust magnets.

That looks great, AG HD is a great beater wax!

  9. Looks great Danny! You'll get about 6-8 weeks or so of durability out of AG. It's not a true carnauba so it lasts longer.

car looks great! i like HD wax more and more every time i use it. like stated, the key is to keep your applicator nice and moist to ensure smooth and even coverage. it tends to "drag" and smear if your applicator isnt moist enough. personally, i wouldnt really even consider it to be a beater wax. before walmart started carrying it, it was considered to be on the higher-end of nubas. i could be wrong, but i believe it was going for around or over $100 pre-walmart. i dont really get into using waxes so much anymore, but i do enjoy HD wax. looks great on every color ive used it on, and it offers really nice durability, especially if you put on top of powerlock or 845.

Nice car man. What's your method with the applicator and hot water because I get tired of applicators drying up over time with wax build up.

Car looks fantastic. I may want to trade some AG HD wax at some point.

before walmart started selling it? i coulda swore it was much more than that, thus why it was such a big deal that walmart started carrying it. otherwise it wouldnt have been such a big deal that walmart had it except for conveniences sake.

  17. It was selling for around $175 pre-Wal Mart and you could only order it from over seas.
