Hey guy's just have a few questions: Stripping LSP's: Ok for products I got: CG CWG ZEP CD (have a rl flo master pump sprayer too) (i'll be using it at 5:1 to degrease the lower panels of the body) MEG APC+ Dawn Obviously I'll be using CWG as my default lsp stripper, but my question is what should I use to strip a stubborn lsp that won't come off with just cwg, like is said I have dawn, megs apc and zep aswell but really don't know which would be best to use lol... Door Jambs: Products: ONR ZEP CD MEG APC+ CG P40 QD RG brush Ok so my question is which would work best for door jambs, I was thinking of using the megs apc+ diluted ( not sure to which ratio prob around 4:1) and then agitate with the RG brush and then wipe down with a damp mf or use "mist" on the hose gun then wipe down and qd with some ONR QD or do you guys just apply a normal wax or just just nothing at all?. I know I have to be careful around the hinges themselves not to take the grease off, but do you guy's just reapply some new grease onto the hinges anyways? If yes what kind of grease? Wheels: I got a 5L jug of AG CWC, now for cleaning lightly soiled wheels like mine when I'm washing my car can I dilute it down a bit so I don't take off my tire dressing and have to reapply it everytime I wash my car? Wheel Wells: What would be a good dillution ratio for wheel wells when using megs apc+ ive been reading somewhere around 3:1, I'd assume the same for zep cd Window's: I got a gallon jug of CG WC, now i've heard of people dilluting it down 1:1 should I do this or just leave it as is? Exhaust Tips: I bought some OPT MP, now I see you guys use the #000 steel wool to clean up heavily soiled exhaust tips but doesn't that scratch the tip itself up? Waxing/ Sealing: Im going to be using 1z glanz wax now what would be the optimal time to wait for it to cure before applying lusso oro wax ontop? Any help is appreciated!
use onr for the door jams unless they are real dirty than use the apc and follow up with onr. use the brush and microfibers to get them clean.
Exhaust - 0000 (four "0"s) is the most fine steel wool. Wheels - Another member here uses AG CWC cut 1:1 with water and it still foams nicely and cleans well - however it might cut through tire shine so just be cautious where you spray it so it doesn't get on the tires. Wax - A standard curing time for wax seems to be about 3hrs. Window cleaner - You might be able to dilute it more - For example Lusso Window Cleaner is recommended cut 1:10.
Stripper - Using Dawn will be cheaper than the CG CWG and probably a bit stronger stripping. If that doesn't remove it - dilute IPA (isopropyl alcohol) to no more than like 20% alcohol. There are two commonly sold concentrations 70% and 90ish%. So dilution will range. But like I said, stick with somewhere less 20%.
Stripping LSP'S : I've been using either CG CWG or CG CC + Einszett Blitz APC. Both combinations have worked perfectly for me. My method is to first foam the car with about 2 ounces of soap and then do 2BM with lsp stripping dilution. it has yet to fail me. Wheels : I use AG CWC diluted 1:1 with filtered water. I don't find a difference using it straight or 1:1. I usually have to reapply my tire dressing after the second wash though. I don't expect tire dressings to last that long anyway. For reference, I use BF Long Lasting Tire Gel or AG Instant Tyre Dressing. Wheel Wells : I have been using Zep 3:1 on the wheel wells and it works fine for me. Usually the PW removes most of the gunk anyway. Exhaust Tips : I use #0000 steel wool on all exhaust tips. If they're heavily soiled, I apply plenty of CG GR and tons of elbow grease.
Thanks for all the help guys I don't have a foam gun but donyou guys have any recommended ratios for the cg cwg and dawn or do you just pour a bit of dawn into the bucket or could I add a bit of megs apc+ into the wash?
Wheels: If they are lightly soiled I would just fill a bucket with CG CWC or whatever other soap and wash them that way. Most of the time if wheels are not that caked with brake dust you can get away with using just car soap. Plus it'll help save some of that AG CWC. Windows: CG Window Clean is my go to window cleaner it is great stuff. I don't dilute it but you can go 1:1 with it while getting great results (no streaks)
