I have been looking all over to see if it is sold here in the US with no luck. I know that some of us where looking for it last year but I couldn't find any update. Does anyone know if we can buy it here or it needs to be brought from Europe?
I think its still in Europe for now, bringing one here would costs close to $700 I believe. I have been wanting to try one for a while but until I do I cant justify just buying one from the UK. Its a nicer form machine and I think its lighter than its rival Makita 9227. People that use them really do like them, most all are in the UK so the price is not as big a concern obviously. I think the Festool, like many things we own (iPad) is one of the items that you dont need to have, or could have a cheaper variant of, but once you own one your happy you do. Now if they costs lets say $350 in America and were all that and a bag of chips, I dont see why they wouldnt sell well to the detailers who spend countless hours doing paint correction.
You completely right...It is nice to have but not a must. I'll wait to see if it will make it to here and how much it will be. One thing though I like the Pads, they look similar to the 3M but they are cheaper. Maybe I should settle for that :giggle:
You mean this one? It works great, only issue is that it has a fixed 6" backing plate, so if you like using smaller diameter pads as I do, you cant. I dont own it but the 2 people I know that do really like it and say its very powerful, I reckon more powerful than the Flex DA even.
