Thank you guys! Just a shame that I could only achieve an 85% correction on a new car though... :(

    Outstanding, Jesse!!

Why was it you could only get 85%? I know it has to be a good reason, as your details are almost always perfect. Lack of paint? Lack of time?

    What a beatiful car!

Thanks Aaron! Lack of paint, buddy :(... I stopped taking pictures of the damage and wet sanding, because I was more concerned with getting the job done... I won't show the pictures of the mechanics' 2-week work that had to be done to make it look like a new car :-/.

    Thanks Phil!

i dont understand why all these ferraris going through this dealership are so rooted - perhaps they need someone taking more care getting them on/off the truck or handling/moving them around at the dealership itself

we are constantly turning over new ferraris in our garage year after year and none have ever had the problems you're seeing

admittedly the paint on the murci and one of the f360's wasnt masked the best under the hood/engine cover where its painted matt black, but thats about it. The newer Ferraris like our F430 16M Spider was impeccably finished

I have a feeling it is a port issue where the cars are getting messed up.

it has to be, its not on ferrari's end

we are very big on the whole delivery process thing, so im there watching when the cars are coming off the truck and when the protective wrap is being taken off for the first time, and the paint is fine - there's no deep scratches in the paint, no chips in the paint that have been touched up dodgy, no sanding marks, no scratches in the glass etc

at the end of the day, if the damage is keeping you busy, who's to complain, but the nature of these reviews are always leaning toward it being Ferrari's fault....and im here to tell you it's not

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Well I'd like to say it's a delivery issue and that this or that was the reason and not Ferrari, but...

I'm the one who takes off the wrapping and does the write ups on the paint damage. I know it's crazy and I couldn't believe it myself in the beginning, but almost all of them come like this excluding the 430's. Calis, Fioranos, Scagliettis and 458's all go to the ring and then also to the real world to test the suspension and other creature features. 430's get taken to the ring only for a few laps and then they're tossed in the automatic car wash on location, they slap some tire goop on them, wrap them up and ship them out. An HTGE 599 came in last week from Sweden with similar damage on the bumpers and light swirls so I don't think it's a regional thing.

im at a loss to explain it, because here in Aus non of the vehicle line up is singled out as being damaged while others arent, all the cars arrive in perfect condition

all i can assume is different markets get a different quality of vehicle

ps; those guys really should be wearing protective clothing when reaching over the body to pull the tape off......jeans, metal belt buckles, shirt buttons, metal zip up vests, etc cant be helping

At first I thought that they took better care of the cars they send to "more demanding" markets, but I've seen them come from Switzerland, Sweden and 3 detailers from the US (Todd H., Bob W. and Tood C.) that also work on a lot of Ferraris have done some in very similar condition. The reason I thought that is because HU is a pretty small country and they don't sell as many units per month as a dealer does in CA, FL or Sweden. If all the ones going to OZ are in great condition that sux for you guys :)! It seems strange to me that you guys get them in tip-top condition.

Thanks for the advice... I've been doing Ferrari's cars for more than a year now so they know how to be careful ;). Anyway, they're just pulling off tape, not working on the car. Also, what kind of garage do you have where you have the F-Cars? How closely are they inspected?
