Inside of the windows where cleaned with MG glass cleaner

And then the seats where up for a treatment. The passenger seat was only a bit dirty and dry, but the driver seat had some wear on the side, that needed some attention.

    Some "tools" for the job

Cleaning with SV laether brush, and SV leather cleaner.

Some of the rest of the interior.

And then it was time for some inspection of the paint.

After checking with the paint detective, the paint looked healty, and the driver side door was repainted.

Masked up the engine, and interior. (the roof covers some of the painted surfaces, and needed to be folded down)

    Testing different combos

Found out that the paint was quite hard on this one, so after testing MG speedglaze on MG polishing pad, MG diamond cut on same pad, MG speedglace on MG red whool, i ended up with MG Diamond cut on MG red cuttingpad, and knew already then, that this would create a whole lot of holos.

In action. spread on 600rpm, went up to 1500-1800rpm, and did 3-4 passes, and finished on 600rpm kept it moist during work with MG last touch. Repeated this between 5-6 times a panel, before i was pleased with the result. (Bumpers and roof cover where not metal, so there i only went for 6-800rpm, and some more passes

Checking with my led light, and can certanly spot a hole lot of holos.

Some 50/50, an as many of you probably know, (rosso) red is not an easy colour to take pics of.).

The car had some chips in the paint, and had been at a proffesional paintshop to get this repaired, but when i saw this, i thougth by myself that i cuold have done this better in my garage with dark sunglasses on.

So then it was time for some wet sanding

After some 1500, then 3000 grit, it looked like this.

    Done polished

    Some "work in progress" pics

Ferrari badge could not be taken off, without beeing damaged, so i just have to take some time by hand.

    Air cleaning

Not every car has a standard microfiber holder.

Time for holos. most of the car looked lice this after the first step with the machine

Usually MG speedglaze on MG polishing pad does the trick, so i went over the whole car, starting at 600rpm, went up to1200rpm, did 2-3 passes, and finished on 600rpm.

    Checking with the flashlight

This looked good, but since we had clear blu sky outside, i took the car out in the sun, and got my suspicions confirmed, lots of tiny holos along the car.

Then i had to get the Flex DA, with a MG finishing pad, and some SV CFP

Ran this on low RPM, with little pressure, wiped of, and performed a wipedown with MG final inspection. Took the car back out in the sun, and...yes still holos. Back in the garage for another penalty lap.

Went on with a bit higher speed, a bit more pressure, and a few more passes. Did not take any wipedow, since i needed the CFP as prevax for my LSP. Took the car outside, and yes, no holos, and one happy detailer.

Then all rubber moldings where treated with SV Sealfeed

    Plastic treated with Black Wow

    Windows sealed with RainX

And then it was time for some LSP, and a car like this, deserves SV CrystalRock

A bit much on the hood

After about an hour it was buffed of with the fabiolus SV microfluffy.

The exhaust tips got some SV metalshine, followed by SV autobahn.

There where some small thing i would like to correct, to give the car the last touch. There was a crunchy noise from the stereo, and after a little research, i found out that the speaker cover on the right side was loose.

Dismanteled, and glued back in place with Tec7 glue.

Glue is dryed, and cover mounted back.

The trim on the A pillars needed some new paint, so they where carefully dismanteled, and placed in my custom "spray boot"

They where sanded, cleaned, and given 3 layers of black semi gloss paint

    Back on the car.

So to one of the first things i noticed when i recived the car, the key, it had paint chips, and wear, and needed some attention..

It was prepped for paint (20 mins only for masking up the horse)

Paintjob done, 3 layers of paint
    [IMG]

And then to the original wheels.

Some MG wheel brightener, for 1 minute.

    Rinsed

    After rinsing

Bucket with CG C+WG, and tools.

    Still some left

Then on to Ferrobet rustvask (rust cleaner)

after sitting for 5 mins, and washed off, the result was good

After drying, they got treated with MG speedglaze on MG polishing pad 4"

And finished off with SV Autobahn

    Done

    Some finished shots

This was one amazing detail, I loved all the pictures! One thing I thought was odd though, with so much attention to detail and using top notch products, you reach for RainX?? That stuff never lasted more than a week of rain for me, but I guess that Ferrari isn't going to see much rain :p

Incredible work, how long did it take??

Well, RainX works out just fine for me, with the right prewash/cleaning of the glass, i have had it last for months on my own car, during the Norweginan winther (both snow and rain).
As described in the top of the thread, the work took aprox 70 hours

    Thanks

Wow...................incredible effort and execution on the smallest of details, 430 wheels look so much better on that 360. I loved all the steps but masking the key and re-painting it was just over the top!!, customer must have lost his mind after coming to get his "New car".

The customer is a friend of mine, and yes, he was very pleased with the result, and even gave me permission to take the car for a ride, for an afternoon. And i must say, that the V8 engine on 8500rpm thru a tunnel with the roof down, is quite an experience
