So, I broke my Brinkmann by knocking it off the sunroof of my car on to the ground while I was working on it and now I needed a new flashlight. Unfortunately, this happened right after Phil's sale ended so I had to find an alternative. Off to Amazon I go and here is what I found...

    Fenix TK11 R2 for $54.00+5.24 shipping

Pretty decent deal if you ask me. On top of that, 2 days ago it was free shipping as well. Hope this helps anyone who needs a light :thumb:

Eyezack..man did you get my attention with this sale! What does it come with? Did I read somewhere that you need to buy a charger separately? Can anyone help out?

I believe its the flashlight box that Phil has on his site. Batteries and charger are sold separately of course. I figure I wont use it as much so I figure a couple disposables will hold me off until I find a great deal on rechargeables :)

The whole kit for $98 comes from different sellers so I opted to just get the flashlight.

Thanks for the link. I probably won't be using it that much so the original batteries will last me a long time I would think. Thanks again Eyezack for posting it.

DX also has them in stock as well :)

EDIT: you're welcome Richy. I was on a budget so this deal was too good to pass up :D

I hear ya...actually tomorrow I go pick up a Stanley HID light I bought that can light up for like a mile...incredible light. Much bigger than the Fenix but strong as hell. Don't know what I'll do with both, LOL.

Hey Richy, I've got one from Phil. I use mine about every night at work on calls. I've had the same battery in it for over a month. Now take in mind, I probably wouldnt use it as much as law enforcement since I work in a rural area. I love it though. Fits in my pants pocket.

Thanks Heath. I'll use mine at work when I get back in a few months. I should probably keep an eye out for a deal on batteries/recharger. Did yours come with one or will you just replace the batteries with new ones?

Better check if the batteries are available...weird size. Sorry, loaned my light out so I can't check the size for you.

The battery charger/batteries I got from Phil came with 2 batteries and the charger.

The batteries are a Lithium battery. CR123A is the #.

Are these common batteries that can be bought at Walmart?

For batteries, check out 911Supply here. They can be as high as $7-$10 each at some places. At 911supply they are under $30 for 12. I buy two boxes at a time.

How many Lumens does this light have? Is THIS one better?

The batteries can be found at Target or Walmart IIRC, and yes, rechargeable is better but the ones off Amazon are pricey sometimes. I wont need rechargeables for a while since I do a couple cars a month :)

Richy, that light might be better for outside use but probably not for detailing use (which I'm using mine mainly for). Its a combination of the reflector, LED, and something else that determine how useful it is as a swirl spotter. Forgot where I read it though...

The TK11R2 has 240 lumens. Don't be fooled by the number of lumens...bought a light with 650 lumens and it doesn't come close to the Tk @ 240 lumens.
