    Hello all,

I am new to the forum and just had a quick question about a spot on my 14' Nissan Frontier's cloth seat. Originally, there was a grease stain on the seat (I had dropped some food on it), so I put a drop of Dawn dish soap directly on the fabric then lightly scrubbed it with a wet rag.

After letting it dry there is a lighter spot on the fabric (it is charcoal grey). Does anyone think that this could be built up soap residue? I don't think I scrubbed hard enough to rub the dye out of the fabric. I also went over it with a wet vac many times with regular water in order to try to pull any excess soap out of the fabric, but as of now I can't see any more soap coming out.

Could the spot that is there now be soap scum that is stuck in the fabric? I've read online that white vinegar can be use to neutralize and break up soap scum. Would this be safe to try?

I can't believe that Dawn soap and the light scrub I did would actually remove the color from the fabric.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.
