Following up from the thread I posted last week, I had a chance to talk to the owner of the Ferrari today. I managed to get to my friends shop and get one fender polished before he got there to show him what was possible. These are the pics. The fender was polished with a multitude of pads to find the right combination. I wound up working with Megs Cutting Pad with Menz PG. Followed that with SIP on orange and then on green CCS. Finished with PO85rd on black CCS. I'm not fond of the light yellow so went over it with Megs #80 to add a bit of wetness and depth to the color. I threw on a coat of Dodo SN for good measure. Total time on the one fender - 2 hours. Owner was blown away.

Over the next five or six weeks we are going to transform the dogs breakfast before you into ,well, a Ferrari. Mods will include...
    • HID headlight conversion
    • Radar jammers front and rear
    • Full on stereo
    • Replace K&N filters with factory or aftermarket stainless airbox
    • Toss chrome Anteras in favor of some new wheels - possibly HREs
    • Send car out to fix fenders
    • Possibly Tubi exhaust - because its cool!

When all this is done I will be spending FIVE DAYS on this beast! :thumb: I'll keep you posted.

Ooh see what I mean about the end results, this is going to be one fine looking Ferrari at the end...sure it may not look like a Ferrari should now but the end result is all that matters...that and I'm sure the owner picked up this Ferrari at a good price so to do the extras is probably not going to cost that much.

Hey 911, if you don't mind me asking what kind of raidar jammers is he getting, I need to get some...any chance you'll see how they are being mounted on as well? Oh what kind of stereo is he going with?

As much as I love Antera wheels, well, I hate chrome ones and they plain don't belong on a Ferrari!

I'll get some pics of the install for you. Typically the rear goes above the license plate so its hidden and the front goes in the grill. The head unit is flush mounted in the dash somewhere. I'll check into the stereo for you. These guys don't do BEST BUY installs. I saw them put $40k worth of stuff into a Murcielago roadster and $80k worth of stuff into a Ford F350. :thumb:

 I hear you, when your dealing with such vehicles stores like Best Buy or Future Shop don't have anything to do with such vehicles. Reason I'm asking is because I'm doing some homework on my future vehicle...haven't purchased anything just yet but I'm almost there ;)

So yes I'd love to see some pictures of the installation, if possible or just the end result would be nice :peace:

The subwoofer box was hand laid fiberglass - both sides were built independantly.

see i would love a radar jammer.. but they are strictly iligal here in the states.. and from what i have seen/ heard they really do interfeer with fire trucks and ambulances. i am around hospitals everywhere i turn in chicago and the surounding area's.. i don't wanna mess with that.

i have a radar detector and a laser jammer and that's as far as i am going.. if you get caught with a laser jammer there is hell(including thousands of $$ and a fix it ticket to remove the jammer)
