Exploding bulbs in the Brinkmann Dual Xenon

I purchased a Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon based on numerous recommendations in this forum. The light was great for the few minutes of use I got out of it until both bulbs exploded inside the housing. I was using the light for maybe 30 second at random intervals to check my progress while polishing. Without notice, both bulbs exploded within 10 seconds of each other.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I fear my unit may be defective, so I don't want to purchase more bulbs on the off chance that those will explode as well.

Any advise would be appreciated.

(PS: I've contacted the detailing supply website that I purchased the unit from, not sure what they are prepared to do.)

If you purchased it from one of the many reputable sites on the forum you will be well taken care of. My Brinkmann light has been running strong for over a year. With anything that is mass produced we all risk the possibility of getting a defective unit. Here is a little more info for you:

Brinkmann Warranty Info:

Brinkmann's online warranty process is currently under reconstruction. In the interim, please use the following steps to complete your warranty orders.

Step 1 - Download Form

Download the Warranty Parts Request Form. (this is a pdf form and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)

Step 2 - Locate Part Information

You will need your Owner's Manual to complete the process. If you do not have your Owner's Manual, you can find it through the Owner's Manual section.

Step 3 - Form Completion

Fill out the Warranty Parts Request form, print and fax back to Brinkmann Customer Service at (800) 780-0109.

Important Note: A Proof of Purchase Receipt is required. Please make sure a copy of your proof of purchase is included in your fax transmission.

Living in Canada, my options for detailing supplies are fairly limited. I typically purchase from eShine, however they do not sell the Brinkmann. I purchased it from AutoObsessed.com, the owner actually responded minutes ago (at midnight! now that's service :thumb and agreed to replace it. Nonetheless, thank you for the information.

I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this? Hopefully it's just a lemon.
