Hey guys. One of my buddies jsut got a new Quad off the showroom floor, but all the dyed red plastics are hazed adn has some good scrathes..

I tried all pad combos, Nano, 85rd, IP, and even Meguairs Plastic Polish...but nothing seems to budge it...

anyone have any advice on polishing this material...?:thud:

I dont know iof its unpolishable, I figurethe scrathes are there to stay, but i thought i could atleast get it to jewel up a bit...

Have you tried dressings like Black Wow or even Armorall? I agree with you as those polishies should have improved the look and lessened the scratches.

    Just my 2cents.

maybe shoot Paul Dalton a pm or email as i am sure he has done his quad like 30 times by now.. he loves that thing and loves to play with it and we all know how Paul doesn't like anything dirty on wheels!!!

303 on plastics. It'll bring the colour back better than anything I've used so far.

THe Plastic on the Quad is not soemthign you would want to yuse 303 on, it is like the material a dirt bike fearing is made out of....it needs to be polished but the combo has yet to be found

I have two clients ( 6 quads between them) and all I have ever used on the plastic bodies and fenders is 303. Give it a go. It does work quite well.

I never polish mine on either of my 450r's. I would assume its very hard to get a lot of them out. I just stock up on new ones during race seasons or a lot of my sponsorships cover the plastic. I ready someone say pledge or something like that as a coverup or such.

Try a wool pad, not the foam/wool pad, and some meguiars #3. I use that on plastice pieces like that and it brightens them up and takes some of the scratches out.
