I swear if I accidently brush by something as im walking to the car with one of my mf towels it grabs and traps whatever it touches in the towel, and its hard to get it out. I've noticed stuff like fine pieces of wood slivers and whatnot that dont even come out in the wash sometimes, which is concerning because then I can't use it on my paint anymore, and I don't want to have to buy like 100 mf towels and toss one everytime it gets like this.

I also notice some mf towels can feel really staticy at times

Is there anything I can do?

Everything will stick to your MF, but then again, you shouldn't ever be using your good MFs anywhere where woodchips can get to it!

Thats kinda hard cause I work at a sawmill haha. It just seems like I can't place a MF towel down anywhere without it getting something stuck to it...such a pain

you might be stuck replacing your MF's on a regular basis. For you, it would probably be safer getting cheap bulk MF compared to getting expensive MF and risk getting junk caught in it.

Sounds like you may be drying you MF's in the dryer...

If so, this is the exact reason why my MF's are hung to dry

I use the dryer but use the less dry auto setting along with 1.5 Blue Balls. I say 1.5 because one of them busted....

all kidding aside... what do the blue balls do? aren't they for fabric softener?

They replace chemical fabric softener and actually help dry fabric more quickly...I guess they naturally fluff fabric as well.

Yeah im going to stop using the dryer now and stick to hand washing and hang drying my mf's...i spent a half hour going over a couple of towels with a tweezer getting all the stuff out. It looks good, but I still wouldn't trust it on my paint, i'll demote them to interior use and buy a few new ones and take better care of them :thumb:

I don't think you need to hand wash them but for me, drying towels in the dryer is a no-no
