Ever considered carrying Prima carcare brand?

I know you don't see much about it on DB ,but there's talk about it on other forums. Part of the problem is - there's just not a lot of vendors I like to deal with (or deal with regularly) that carry it.

Perhaps you could solve this dilemma, Phil.

    What say you?

Richard Lin (Blackwow creator) carries this. I go to his shop whenever I need it. He has a site that you can google of course.

@Phil, might I suggest Prima Swirl, Epic, and Banana Gloss as your initial stock? Swirl is versatile enough to be used with Orange and White pads so its sort of an AIO polish of sorts. Epic and Banana Gloss are self explanatory of course :)

Prima is one of those lines that kinda gets overlooked. It's actually a pretty solid line. Their products work as advertised and the polishes are very versatile. Swirl and Amigo are awesome.

Prima Swirl is great because it is so versatile (DA or Rotary), it can be a heavy polish, or a finishing polish depending on your pad choice. Prima Amigo is simply awesome (not much more to say.) Epic is a very durable sealant, my one complaint is the heavy chemical smell, other than that, its great.

I haven't tried all their line, but can say that the products I have used like those mentioned above, and their wash, glass cleaner, and interior protectant are solid products.

I knew the name Richard Lin was familiar, but I didn't connect the dots that reated black WOW, interesting!

I was speaking to Richard and mentioned that Prima should branch out and try to get one of the bigger shops to carry the line and he said that it's been 'in talks' for a long time, but they may not be able to handle the volume of production required at the moment. (Speculation? I'm not sure)

    :)

The basic gist of this, Phil (and others) is that while I have no problem ordering from Richard, or whoever.. is that I'd like to be able to order *OTHER* things from other mfg's too. Richard doesn't carry a bunch of stuff.. not that I blame him in this competitive market. If DD were to carry it I could order Prima along with Uber towels, or Uber foam pads or, 1Z this.... (and so on and so forth).

So, it would be nice if Phil picked this line up. It would only lead to more of my money going into his pockets. :applause2:

Also, Phil on top of the recommendations here please get Prima Clarity, I am HIGHLY interested in it. :) It seems you have an uncanny ability to pick up new product lines at the drop of a hat! I remember when people wanted Camspray pressure washers.. you jumped on that so fast it made peoples heads spin. :)

Prima swirl and amigo are both great as mentioned. I have not tried Epic but on mini forums they claim it to compare to Zaino but easier. I like hydro but its pricey so I switched to OCW

In all honesty, I think you'll see Santa sipping a martini with the Easter Bunny.

Phil is seriously picky about what products he carries, and I don't think he'll bite on this.

It's a quality line. Nothing to be picky over. :p

I know it is, but I think the idea that some of the products contain mineral spirits could be a deciding factor also. Just my :2cents:

    http://www.detailersdomain.com/optimum-carcare-poli-seal32oz.aspx

Contains Mineral Spirits. Confirmed by Dr. G when all of mine "evaporated off" and PoliSeal became sludge. Says it right on the label too.

    Poli-Seal MSDS: http://www.chemicar.com/cardetail_poliseal.pdf

Up to 15% off it is Mineral Spirits.

Ok I have Poliseal also, why is mineral spirits added to the product? Would like to know about this, also a customer gave me a quart of Connosisseur's Choice of Satin Creme it has Calcined Kaolin Clay what does this additive do? I heard it sort of fills in swirls. Thanks for any information::applause2:

In a few words, from what I have read, it has filling properties as well as cleaning properties.

my first Prima experience started out pretty sour with Banana Gloss not really impressing me

our local Prima dealer offered to swap it for Slick and that is now my go to QD, i keep it in my wash bucket - it can clean (even water spots if you catch them early), adds slickness and even some gloss and depth to the paint. I always use it to go over the car if im adding a layer of wax bw washes

following on from the success i had with Slick, i then bought Amigo and have since used it only on my wheels to test it out ....and wow, what an awesome paint cleaner. It dries to a haze, and buffs off with one swipe, think ease of removing Menz PL and BF WD, and thats pretty impressive for a paint cleaner imo, that also hides swirls and adds some noticeable depth

i also have Prima Hydro, and used this for the first time after the first wash on the GTR to give it some protection before i could do a proper detail, and i was shocked how many of the dealer induced swirls and scratches it hid. An amazing spray wax that can hide swirls - does a similar product even exist?

MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - Prima Slick, what a great product

my next purchase will be Nourish

if i was a sealant man, id have Epic by now too

so yep Phil i really think you need to carry the Prima line, and afaik its an American brand so sourcing should be easy

Phil has actually gotten various products from various suppliers to try out. If it doesn't meet his standards, then forget about it.

Since you seem to be Phil's best friend why don't you enlighten us on whether he's tried Prima?

That said, he tried Adams and carries it. :thud:

Not sure if he has or not. Maybe so.

I don't know every company that sent him stuff. I don't think anybody does except him.

Like I said before, I'm not trying to rain on your parade, so please don't make it out to be that way.
