I've been a member and posting for months now and I've never posted a write-up or detail so I figured now was time to show some of my/our work. This 2007 FJ Cruiser belongs to the sales team manager of a Toyota delaership here in Montreal and he came to us with this car because he didn't want the "detailers" at his dealership to touch it. He bought it second hand from a gentleman who enjoyed going off road with it. So, without further ado, here is the write-up. Products used: Washing Wheels AutoGlym CWC Elegance Wheel Cleaner Elegance All Purpose Cleaner Various brushes Washing body Elegance Auto Shampoo Elegance All Purpose Cleaner Sunlight Various wash mitts, sponges Stoner's Invisible Glass Washing interior Elegance All Purpose Cleaner AutoGlym Vynil and Rubber Autoglym Leather Cleaner AutoGlym Leather Balm Stoner's Invisible Glass Correction Meguiar's #105 on Lake Country orange CCS pad Menzerna Intensive Polish (PO91E) on Lake Country green CCS pad (No available white pads for this detail) Menzerna Micro Polish (PO87MC) on Lake Country black CCS pad Various Microfibers Protection Elegance Trim Dressing Collinite #845 AutoGlym High Definition Wax Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant Poorboy's World Bold N' Brite Total work time: 36 man hours (I did not take any "before" and very few "during" pictures during the detail as I was pressed for time. I also have not received the pictures from my second camera, so I will update a little later with interior and engine pics) Foaming and degreasing. Kevin cleaning the wheels. We used many different brushes, including a tooth brush to get the stubborn soil on these wheels. On a hot day like it was, I gave myself permission to work in shorts, lol. Here I'm applying wheels sealant. Before and after of the wheels. Roof rack, seats, spare and it's support were all removed to clean properly. Taping off all trim to protect them from compounds and polishes. We removed the spare wheel as well as its support to clean and correct the paint behind there as well. Details, details, details! Correction in progress. Rear panel all polished up. Quarter panel after compounding. Same panel after polishing. Polishing passenger side door. The passenger side after jeweling. On to the final shots. Alittle blurry...sorry :S A happy owner means a job well done (I know, I need to smile... ) Permission for write-up granted by owner. Thanks for viewing. Comments and criticism welcome.
The trim was insanely damaged with all the off-roading, it's still in "damaged" shape. Normally, this would've run him near that, but I gave him a deal since he gave me about $4000 discount on my new Scion which I got from his dealership. thank you.
