This isn't your usual detail, but it was interesting, so I figured I'd share it...that, and Alex (Boredstudent) keeps asking me to show more work :p

So, These wheels are the summer wheels for a 3rd generation Nissan Altima (2002-2006). One was dented and I was asked to send it out for repair before the detail. Once it came back, I washed and degreased the wheels and tires, polished them, sealed them and dressed the tires. (all pictures are from after the first wheel was repaired)

    Products used:

    Elegance Wheel Cleaner
    Optimum Metal Polish
BlackFire Wet Diamond All Metal Sealant
    AutoGlym Instant Tyre Dressing
    Various brushes
    Microfibers

    On with the pictures!

The water etching and staining that needed to be dealt with.

Nothing a little Optimum Metal Polish, All Purpose microfibers and a little elbow grease can't handle.

And a 50/50 (left side untouched....in case it's too hard to tell. LOL)

    Lips were done as well.

As always, thanks for reading. Comments are always welcome!:)

P.S.: These wheels were prepared because the owners intend to sell them. Now, when they come pick them up, their love may be rekindled, but if they still intend on selling them. They are asking $2250 CAD(tires included), if anyone here is interested. Shipping fees would be on the hands of the buyer. Cheers!

Wow, good job on those rims...

Too shiny for my liking, must of been a pain to polish around all those nuts on the circumference

Thanks. And yeah, that's the whole idea behind polishing them. She really wants to get $2000 + for them and the only they will net that is by having them look almost brand new.

Not a fan of them myself, but they do look much better now. The worst wheel out of the gang took me about an hour to completely polish by hand. Over all including the washing, polishing and sealing, it took my about 4 hours.

I would have a severe mental breakdown if I would need to keep those wheels clean all day long...

people do not understand how hard it is to clean wheels if they are jacked up as this............ especially a wheel as technical as this one.

    Props, looks great.............

You should throw a coat of Opticoat or C-quartz on them.

I don't have any in stock and it isn't worth the money since they are being sold soon.
