First up the Black convertible, riddled with water spots and some deep scratches in a few places. Even though the car was new(We all know this means nothing....) quite a bit of time was invested (25 hours plus). Water spots. Cluster of deep scratches. Spots on the trunk. Dealing with thin paint, remember this car is only a few months old. More defects. Hard water etch in the the crevice of the convertible top. Applying the CG water spot removing gel with a small brush. After some effort, etch removed. Gel on the glass. Medium polishing step. Inspecting the finish. Old dressing and dirt build up. Tire stripped. Wheel wells cleaned and dressed. Tires dressed to a satin sheen. Underside of rear bumper dialed in. Performing final wipedown, car raised up high to make the task easier. A few sun pics.
WHITE M3 This car had 44,000 miles or so and it showed, customer wanted the car "As new" again or as close to it as possible. The top sides of the vehicle had tons of fallout/acid rain damage and defects. Paul from "Attention to Detail" in Vancouver Washington came down for advanced paint correction training, here he is working out the defects on the trunklid. Kevin Brown helped with the training..............and I put him to work, Mr KBM doing what he does best. Whole crew in the shop Daniel,Kevin and Paul. Dirty engine bay. Paul utilizing the steamer. Cosmoline build up. Engine latch cleaned. Close up of same area. Finished engine bay pics. Almost missed the sun, was able to get a few pics at sunset.
Certified Tightness Bobcat as always! I just completed a 2012 328i in black this morning after about 19hrs.
Your helpers are getting bigger. It almost like a mister universe pageant going on in the shop (minus kevin). Pretty cool and as always a flawless finish sent using my thumbs, mispelling most words
The "Macho man" is unfortunately taking a dirt nap..............RIP. Yes Paul is a bigboy, he wants to learn EVERYTHING NOW lol and I know he will get there in time, Daniel when we go to my gym gets people looking at him out of the corner of their eyes as they know we are oldNESS but can still do it(As he breaks off 12 rep deadhang pull -ups set after set) and picks up bigboy dumbells that guys like me who outweigh him by 70LBS or more lift. Mr KBM is a "Heavyweight" in all aspects of polishing paint, it was fun to watch him with a rotary working old school techniques as far as rolling over body creases and tight areas....................I have done ton's of rotary as well but Kevin is in the highest category in paint correction. :worship2:
As always excellent work. Still motivating seeing you guys knock it out detailing and in the gym! No nonsense no corners cut
