My Hoover brand vacuum cleaner died after 5 years of service. So I did my research and bought a Dyson DC33 over the weekend. Home Depot was having a sale, so I got it for $255.20 plus tax. Perfect timing. Tried it out this morning. What a difference, well worth the money! You should see the crap that came out of my office carpet even AFTER have vacuumed it with my old Hoover. It's a bit embarrasing...
The most amazing thing I ever saw when I used my Ridgid shop vac to clean the carpets in our house. Put a little layer of water down in the cannister and vacuum away. It was insane. Annoying with the hand tool, but just goes to show what carpets can hold over time...
yeah, you think its clean but it really isnt. we own a carpet extractor and use it in the house every 6 months or so, even after vacuuming every 3 or 4 days it amazing the crap my extractor will pull out........
I just used an extractor in my dad's van yesterday. The smells that come out when you're extracting...yuck!
For a truer clean for someone who has health issues and needs a cleaner clean, a bag actually traps more of the dust and pollen. For the average consumer, I think Dyson rocks out with their 'rooster' out.
