A while ago Richy sent me a couple of new beta testers from Duragloss to try. Nano Polish ( basically a sealant with a slight abrasive in it ) and Nano Clear. These are not available for sale yet as DG is gathering information from the field in an effort to perfect the products before bringing them to market. The instructions were quite simple. Both were applied via PC at speed 5. The Nano Polish was wiped off as each panel was done and the Clear was allowed to haze before removal. Both were quite thin and watery. The Nano Clear really goes a long way as it only took a few drops to coat a panel. Both products had a typical pleasant DG aroma. As one of my clients was due for a Protection Detail anyway, I figured this would be a good test mule. I also detail the car weekly for the owner so I would be able to keep an eye on it. The test mule - A 2003 BMW M5 Personal As you can see, detailing a car I clean weekly is a little easier than a car off the street. No dirt in the trunk jamb. Remember, these are the befores! No brake dust build up around wheel nuts. I applied the Werkstat Prime Strong via pc one side at a time before removal. After Prime Strong removed. The bottle of Nano Polish was just over half full from Richy. So I used around an ounce or so of product on the entire car. After applying and removing the Nano Polish, I taped off the car and also applied the Nano Clear to the drivers side. Nano Clear hazing over After Nano Clear removal Afters Crazy reflection! After using these products I can say that I am very hopeful that DG brings these out soon as long as the durability is good. They are soooo easy to apply that I thought I was doing something wrong. It took just over 30 minutes to apply either product to the entire car. There were no issues with product removal as long as the directions were followed. Apply the Nano Polish and wipe down each panel as you go. For the Nano Clear, I applied to each side and then wiped it down as it had hazed at that point. I did let a couple panels sit for a while with the Nano Clear on them and they were harder, although not difficult, to remove.
This is exciting. I've been a fan of Duragloss for awhile now. Their products do what they're intended to do and don't cost a fortune.
Is there some idea of an estimated release date on some of these newer products? Thanks for the write-up btw.
