I did a search before posting this question, with no results. I have a 2009 Ducati Monster, and I just had the 600mi service completed, only to notice that the f'ing mechanic must have wiped the tank down with a crappy towel when he was done, because there are micro scratches everywhere. So my question is: does anyone know how thick, hard / soft Ducati CC is? Obviously i want to polish these out, but I wanted to check on this before I did.
I have a 1098s 2008, and I have been polishing my bike after almost ever service whenever I get it back from the dealer it must have some sort of swirls on it. The clearcoat is super soft and not that thick. Use a white LC Pad and a fine polish like 106 ff or 85rd, it will fix 90% of any paint problem on a Ducati. hope this helps
Hey, thanks a lot man. I kinda figured it would be soft. Yeah, it must me a Ducati mechanic thing, they must all use a dirty shop towel to wipe off all the oil they get everywhere. It's funny, if you own a harley, you get a free bike wash with every service, but own a Ducati, and get nothing but a empty wallet! What kind of wax do you use on your Duc by the way?
