Booked for a 2 day detail with light paint correction. Car belongs to the owner of this Audi S5 I detailed a few months prior.

The BMW is a daily driven car with over 160k miles on it, mild paint correction to clean up the paint was carried out along with layering it with protection.

    After cleaning

Car foamed and washed with CG citrus followed by claying. Heavy contaminants on the finish

Onto correction work, again this was a mild paint correction, by no means was perfection the goal. Menzerna SIP and 106FA used on the Metabo

Mirror trim was faded and 100% gray. First cleaned using IPA, than dressed using a foam painters stick.

    Before

    1st of 3 applications...

Heated up again with a heat gun and than buffed off to check for smearing before moving onto the next 2 applications

    Finished product

More correction work on rear bumper which was lightly oxidized

One last IPA done on the entire car before applying LSP. In this case I layed down a quick coat of Werkstat Acrylic Prime using the DA on speed 4 followed by 3 coats of Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger spread out over 2 days

I can't believe how well that mirror trim turned out.

    Two questions..
    1. Has Sonax replaced P21S for you?
    2. Why did you wait 2 days to put on 3 coats of AJT? It says you can layer each 1/2 hour.

    Car looks great bud.

Nice work, can we get a list of products used? I'm interested specifically in what you sponged onto the mirrors. So far, I have used BlackWow and Adam's new VRT - both work great but not sure they could restore that much oxidation.

I can't get over the mirror arm, looks better than new!

Did you happen to get a new camera or change some settings? A couple of your last pics looked really bright(is that washed out?)

Awesome job Dave. That red is really popping. It's amazing how the Werkstat products don't get alot of attention with all of the new sealants on the market now.

The difference between the professional and the hobbiest is the details. While you are making every last part of the car more perfect than it ever was, I am standing there with my pot of Glasur trying to figure it is better than Zuffenhausen. Hats off to the pro's who do this every day and make it look easy!
    Way to go Dave.
Also, the sight of the proper Roundel (blue and White) helped get rid of a bad image of a red and white one I saw here yesterday. Everything is right in the world once again..

So people have been telling me

No new camera, shot in auto no flash. Did replace 4 8foot bulbs in the garage which were out in my last 2 writeups.

Sonax has replaced P21s on so many levels, applying to dry wheel instead of wet is the thing I like most about it as its a nice time saver... and it just works very well at cleaning.

I applied the first coat of AJT around midnight on day 1 and on day 2 did the next two coats over a few hours . You can apply AJT once every 30minutes but I like to wait as long as possible between coats of anything IF I have the time, just to make sure im not getting any smearing. A lot of times I dont reason with saying "Why" but instead I say "Why not" ... why not wait a little longer if I can, have the first coats set up a little longer.

Pretty much most of my products used are in there... what I used on paint, to wash, clay is obviously riccardo, I forgot to mention I did blackwow on the trim.

I see. Have you tried CJT yet? It's a tad more finicky than AJT, looks decent, but doesn't bead as well as I'd hoped. One more thing, when using a heat gun to cure dressing, do you eliminate the need to spray the Black Wow down with water after application?

Nice work! Would be awesome to have one of these as a daily beater!

I noticed that as well. Proper badging is the only way to go!

I never used the water trick with BW, will keep than in mind however because I now remember the tip thread you made about it. My hopes with the heat was simply to soften up the plastic enough for it to soak BW in best as possible. I didnt have much streaking but I went back over it gently many times to get it not to streak.
