I still use a synthetic chamois.i was curious what everyone else uses to dry cars with? Premium Quality Car Wash Towels Cotton Red does anyone use these??how well do they work? How are you supposed 2 use a waffle weave and cotton towels??For wat ever reason when i used my waffle weave it left streaks everywhere.

After sheeting the majority of the water, I use my wet/dry vac as it functions as a blower as well. After that, I just blot/wipe dry the remaining water with my WW towel.
there's 1 brand that has not failed me yet. Carrand microfiber drying towel. I found it at Pep boys and it's for about $10. Very good towel IMO. I have used it a lot of times already and still performs good. no need for ringing..and for the price, it's all good. I tried also DD's waffle weave drying towel and it was good, I have used it once for now, first impression was good.
What do you mean "it leaves streaks"? As in streaks of water still on the paint? If so, then they either: A) aren't quality WWs and they aren't absorbing B) if they are quality and absorbed at one time, but aren't now, then you aren't washing them properly and they have absorbed something that is preventing them from doing their job or C) you are exceeding the capacity of them and you need to modify your drying technique and/or use more towels If the "streaks" aren't left over water, then obviously, something else has contaminated them and that residue is being transferred to the paint when you use them. FWIW, like a lot of the other suggestions, I sheet the water first, blow the vehicle off with a leaf blower and then dry what's left with a WW. Using this technique, the WW never even comes close to being fully saturated, so one towel will easily dry the whole vehicle. I have helped friends that didn't have a blower, and we would just sheet the water and then use the WWs. Usually, this scenario would require two towels to get the car completely dry. This is affected by the LSP on the car. If the LSP is working properly, the majority of the water leaves the surface when sheeting, so you can sometimes get away with one WW towel. What brand and size WW are you using? Did you wash them before you used them? What is your towel washing protocol? Do you use a QD with the WW when drying?
Sometimes using ONR I was getting left over streaking from my WW, I only noticed it on black cars but to get rid of the streak I follow up with another microfiber towel. I still haven't been inspired to get an electric leaf blower since I use ONR mostly.
I think regardless what drying medium(besides a blower) it will leave a slight streaking remainder. This is just my experience, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Regardless, I like the Rag Shack's Amazing Dryer. With 2 of them I think you can tackle any job.
I like these a lot as well. The "Vroom" drying towels at Target are surprisingly good. I've got two of them as well as two of the Rag Shack ones.
