I hang dry my towels but to speed things up I want to use the dryer. When you dry in the dryer do you use static sheets like the bouce sheets?

No softener product of any kind here.

I also only dry on a delicate cycle. Sometimes taking them out before they are all the way dry and allowing them to air dry the last little bit.

Just stick to air drying. That is why i keep such a large inventory of towels. The last thing you want is to damage your towels by drying them as even though your not using any softener in that specific load your machine still has residue of softener in it and can damage your MF towels

I stay away from all static sheets or softeners when using the dryer for MFs. Simply throw them in and let them dry by themselves.

Low heat 30 minutes! Come out feeling as fresh as new

    Nothing added to the load.

I put them in the dryer with low heat. Generally it shuts off before they are completely dry which helps prevent them from over drying or getting a little stiff/less soft to the touch. I don't use static sheets for my clothes anyway so i don't have to worry about any residue in the dryer. When I wash towels I do large loads so i would have to have about 4 or 5 of those folding drying racks and it would just be a pain.

Machine drying is OK, just DO NOT use softener or static sheet. The softener leaves a residue on the surface of the material to make it feel softer but this blocks the fibers from absorbing water.

I used to only air dry, then needed them in a hurry so I used the dryer on the delicate setting but found they were smearing, I think that some residue on the inside walls from using dryer sheets or softener with other loads got onto them, so I had to rewash and air dry them, so ill stick to that for now.

Low heat works perfect. I can put a 5 gallon pail full of towels in the dryer on low heat and they are done in 30 minutes.

    • Do not use fabric softeners (includes both liquid and dryer sheet type fabric softeners) as they deposit chemicals (silicone, etc) on the fabric and render them ineffective. These chemicals will also transfer to whatever you are cleaning or polishing with the towel.
    • Clean the lint screen before and after every wash session

Over time you may find your micro fibre’s effectiveness decreases, despite following all of the above guidelines, this may be due to wax / polish build-up. To remedy try one of the following -

    1. Wash the microfiber for one full wash cycle normally. Then wash again, except this time open the lid and let it soak overnight. In the morning, close the lid and let the cycle finish.

    2. Wash the microfiber for one full wash cycle normally. Then wash again, but instead of laundry detergent, add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the load (assuming a medium to full size load). Run the cycle normally
