Does anyone have any great advice on cleaning (and to a lesser extent protecting) door seals? I've been using either OPC @ 3:1 or 1z einszett Plastik Reiniger with a combination of Swissvax brushes, microfiber towels and occasionally an old, soft toothbrush. Is there anything more effective or equally effective but gentler? Has anyone tried either the Griot's Rubber Cleaner or their Rubber Prep?
Around here the combination of dust and pollen, occasionally coupled with some fungal/mold/algae growth if they have been neglected, plus whatever EPDM coughs out as it ages can be a bit of a cleaning challenge.
I've been using either Wurth Rubber Care or Duragloss 531 Protectant once they are clean.

Depending on a condition of those, I've been getting away with Megs APC 4:1. And condition them with 1Z Rubber stick.

Griot's Rubber Cleaner can't be much more than APC because it's designed *not* to remove previously applied protectant.

Rubber Prep on the other hand is designed for use *after* the rubber has been cleaned with car wash, APC, or Rubber Cleaner. It's used to remove any remaining old protectant, oils and greases before applying new protectant to the rubber.

P21S TAW then go over them with Leatherique Prestine Clean. And then I usually treat them every few weeks with Einszett Rubber Stick.

Along the same question, after cleaning what dressing do you prefer? I'm in area that gets very dry and hot (So Calif). As the cars age the door seals begin to shrink and wind noise develops. Are there any preferred dressings that will not only keep the seals looking good but actually SWELL them up a bit for a better seal?

    TIA

AG Vinyl and Rubber care is good. And hear and see awesome things from Swissvax Seal Feed.
