Would anyone like to share their experiences with dodo juice tropical mist and/or optimum tire shine (know its in the wrong section, but I didnt want to make another thread). want to know anything about these products before i buy. all comments are welcome and greatly appreciated.
Tropical mist is great stuff! Oily and leaves a slick surface. In texas it attracts dust like a MUTHA! So I use it sparingly. I won't comment on tire dressings... just look in the wheels section
Red Mist leaves the paint feeling very slick and leaves some nice gloss. It is a good booster in between waxes. Optimum Tire Shine leaves a nice clean matte look and dries to the touch. If you want a little more durability, Optimum Opti Bond will last quite a bit longer. You will also get a lot more uses out of the Opti Bond since it is dilutable.
If you try the Optimum Opti-Bond, highly recommend diluting it with distilled water (1:1) and pour into a spray bottle. MUCH easier to apply, others may chime in, but in this dilution I have not noticed in less shine or longevity.
i have to admit, one of the main resons that i am interested in buying this is because of the bottle and sprayer design. Its just so cool looking and different. lol
I really like the atomizer sprayer that comes with the Red Mist, it lets out the perfect amount of product.
I agree, which is why i bought a few of those type of sprayers for other bottles. I use them in my distilled water bottle and a few other QDs like OID where you run into issues if you use too much. Red Mist is great, easy on QD/sealant, looks great on all wax's i have used it on and really adds something to the finish.
Opti bond tire gel diluted 1:1 is excellent. Also, got some White Pearl from Dust to Glory and really like it. Finish is eerily similar to Swissvax Pneu.
Where can I buy some white pearl? the Pneu look is what i am going for without having to pay the premium for it. I like that not overly glossy look, but not quite matte look that pneu has. And water based is a must for me
You can get white pearl from ShowroomFX, formerly called tropi-care, Gallon: Showroom FX Tire Dressing 16oz: Showroom FX Tire Dressing
