Does anybody here use this one? I've been looking to add it to my collection, but I have not read much about it. I'm wondering how it compares to FK 425? Does it brighten the paint? What effect does it have on metallic flakes? I'm thinking of using it on top of RBOE, but I"m concerned it might alter that nice warm carnauba glow of RBOE.
I have not tried this product...but i can tell you what i found when i researched it. There have been a couple of claims that it actually attracts dust, which would be the opposite of FK 425...thought i would throw that in, take it with 10 pounds of salt haha.
I will give it a try eventually but I usually just end up going with what's both economical and works great.
I've been using it a lot lately, I don't notice it attracting dust at all. BTW- I will be having a sale on Red Mist very soon!
this stuff is amazing!!! you can tell as you apply it that it's making the surface slicker and wetter looking!!!! I need to put some on my own truck for the dusting attraction/or pollen for that fact.... this stuff is a great buy!
Red Mist tropical is awesome stuff! I top every car I do off with it. Its soooo easy! And the claims of the dust are false. If juztang's sale is a good one I would jump on it if I were yall. It really is a great product!
it is a great product and works well with most carnuba waxes. i tried it as soon as it was introduced to me by dom and pj of dodo juice at the autosport international in th uk earlier this year.:thumb:
I just topped my bike with Red Mist after 3 coats of SN. It really adds to the wetness. I am going for a ride in a minute and I hope it rains. I want to see what it does.
I just ordered the Red Mist and some MF's (in my never ending search for the perfect MF) from Juztang (rag shack). I want to top the car with it this weekend, by then I will have 3 layers of SN on it.
It as been a day or two since my application of Red Mist. I love the way my bike looks. I have not seen any abnormal dust accumulation.
think Z-8 not FK425... I have the 'non' tropical version, but have used tropical as well, and it adds a good extra wetness and gloss which will last on the paint much longer than something like FK425. FK425 is more of a general purpose QD IMHO, used as a final wipe down after waxing or as the last stage when drying etc. Red Mist is the sort of product you use on a clean and dry car to add that little extra, not in the same way you might use a standard QD.
