This Nitro was in for a good cleaning. My girlfriend picked it up in the winter and while in decent shape to the average eye, it had a ton of light horizontal swirls which seem to have come from the tunnel wash. My goal was around 75% correction, with a simple one step polish.

    Products used:

    Migliore Citro Shampoo
    Migliore Naturale Shampoo
Meguiar's new DA polish w/ microfiber pads (tested, wasn't impressed)
Optimum Compound via Orange LC 6.5" pad
    Dodo Juice Clay Lube
    Rain-X
    Migliore Wheel Seal
    Migliore Bella Lustra Tire Glaze
    Migliore Primo

    Equipment:

    Foam Cannon
    PC
    EZ Detail Brush
    Lambswool wash mitt

Overall - you can see the light swirls. The Nitro was just lacking life:

I foamed with Citro, let dwell and rinsed. Then foamed with Naturale to wash:

I tested the new Meguiar's DA polish system with Microfiber pads. I wasn't happy with the results, although to be fair I was using the products in direct sun when they prefer shade. I switched out to the old trusted Optimum Polish / Compound pair.

Do explain more on what you didn't like about them, how were you working it? I had excellent results when I used the kit.

    Hi Gents,

I primed the pad and spread with the PC on 2 and then worked in at 5. As noted, it was in the direct sun. Not saying I won't give it another try, just wasn't successful on this paint.

If you have any suggestions to the proceed above, please share

why did you do it in direct sun? Honestly that would be my only suggestion....... maybe do it in the garage. Honestly Ive had less then stellar results with several products that say
" ok to use in direct sun" I think in direct sun and heat are two different scenarios to be honest.

In this case, there wasn't proper lighting if I pulled into the garage. I'll have to try again in the shade, but I do prefer to work in the sun as in the end I find it the most honest critique of correction.

Nice job. Man there is no way in hell one can use any paintwork product in the sun here in El Paso, TX with temperatures above 100 degrees you would have to be insane. Any product would either flash so fast or dust if used during the day here the body panels get so hot you can probably cook and egg on them.

same here........ we used my BBQ infrared thermometer once on the hood of my car, 145 degrees. I doubt that is safe for any product out there. LOL

and it was only 105 outside too.

Actually if your using a powerful LED light in a garage to pick up on defects you can often times see more fine marks with that compared to out in sun. Ive picked up on minute things with the LED in my garage that I could not even see out in the sun.
