Clay Magic controls the U.S. clay market with a patent. You can't "legally" get riccardo or bilt clay here. All the different U.S. clays are produced by Clay Magic. There's only one clay that is not produced by Clay Magic and it's sold in the States ... gliptone body bar. Gliptone bought all the kukala clay after the clay patent war a few years ago. I prefer this clay over the clay magic, even though the clay magic is pretty decent. IIRC, the patent is about to expire in 2012.
under claymagic nothing comes in i guess unless you start delabeling and tell the customs this is not clay, this is... playdoh, i mean they cant read japanese anyways
wow, didnt know that. so it can be sold here, but it can be purchased outside of us and shipped here unless its riccardo and some others?
the better question is probably, does the customs officer know about the clay patent (which thus allows some to slip thru)
This is good information. I wasn't aware of this. So, why does my Blackfire Polyclay II claybar say "Made in Japan" and I bought it from a very popular U.S. source (Proper Auto Care)? Surely, if they can import a clay from Japan, England shouldn't be a bigger problem?
you know clay should be like weed in CA or whatever state makes it legal for personal use. you can buy clay for personal use in small quantities and not for resale. just like weed and other drugs still made it to US from other countries lol, funny but true probably
claymajic is made in japan that is there manuf center. Riccardo is made by a company in the stats but they can not sell in the states, make clay for many other companies like dodojuce, veletpro, and many places in euro.
They probably don't know, but if you buy twenty cases, they might get suspicious. I used to buy Cuban cigars in Canada and bring them to the US when I used to live in Michigan. Small amounts are ok guys. Personal use is hard to detect when Canadian citizens ship to US citizens.
I can get it for you if you like or you can get from Ben at Rubbishboys. It's around $27CDN for either the soft or regular.
Yes, I still have access to it but since out white clay is very similar and about $6 cheaper per bar, we discontinued the BH stuff.
