FWIW.....just an idea for in-between washes. I was looking for something to clean up the brake dust on the entire inner portion of my wheels between washes that didn't bang up my knuckles or cost more than a few bucks. Solution: Generic duster from Bed, Bath & Beyond (can't remember the cost, but it was pretty inexpensive if I recall). I also cut the handle down by a few inches. I only use this for dusting, not for washing or when the wheels are wet. Does a nice job cleaning up interior brake dust between proper washes, especially with mesh wheels. I'm not super anal about minor micro-marring on the insides of the wheels so this may not be for everyone. To dust I set the drill to a low speed/low torque setting and work my way around the entire inner wheel. Since the handle is made of wood, the low torque setting is important when attaching the duster, if you have your drill set to a high torque setting it will crush the wood handle. To clean the duster, set your drill to it's highest speed and spin for a few seconds in both directions then inspect for large debris (I do this between dusting each wheel). I've been using it for several months (1 or 2 times a week). I am really happy with the results and it seems to be holding up rather nicely.
