I recently traded for mystery, and well I was very excited to get it. I love the look of it, application is ok, smell is great and presentation is great. But seriously the durability is well lacking. 3 weeks and the beading is near gone and the slickness is completely gone. I top up every wash with a qd wipe down usually gloss it for my nubas. I just love that stuff

Except for the winter time when Collinite is applied. I really don't let the durabilaty of most waxes bother me. For me it just takes all the fun out of it and upsets me. I don't even think about it anymore because it is what it is. I wax before it's time anyway. I can't wait that long. Just wanted to let you know what makes me happy. That is one hell of a wax you got there.

That's interesting re: durability, as I've always had notably more out of Mystery than that though personally find it hard to justify this wax over BoS... or even of RG55 in honesty.

I would be very wary of using water behiavour as your protection measure yard stick - it shows nothing other than a change to the surface layer slickness and while this could be inferred to be the protection level, it is often an increase in paint contamination (bonded or otherwise) that causes changes in water behabiour.

That said, I've seen three or more months of tight beading and strong sheeting from Mystery, so intrigued by your results here...

did you use SV cleaner fluid before you applied the wax?

you really need it to help bonding..also was it just mystery or mystery on top of sealant like js109?

i think this was a prep issue. it should last longer than that i am on 3+ months with one layer of jetseal and one of crystal rock. mystery with such a high white nuba count should last longer than that and has..so i don't understand why yours hasn't

I don't believe you really need SV CF for the wax to bond better. I have SV Smargd on my car and Saphir on my wifes and after a few heavy downpours in a months span both waxes are holding up great. By the looks of it I have several weeks to go.

It wasnt a prep issue. citrus wash clear strong wash bath washed with citrus wash clear and an iso bath. Car was clayed the week before.

    the week before?

in a day you could have some ass spray some crap off the ground no iso will remove.. i point is that i feel a cleaner stronger than iso is always a good idea..

last night i just cleaned with cg one ploished with power finish and 85rd on my rear trunk lid then used cleaner fluid.. the paint felt 100% different after claying.. then diff after polishing steps then totally diff after cleaner fluid. and you cannot compare a soft wax like BOS to mystery. also your the only one with an issue like this. it had to be the prep..the fact your so confident it wasn't makes me think you over looked something. either way i would say something is wrong and i would bet it was on your end vs swissvax who has been doing this for decades.

plus cleaner fluid is super simple to use and imo makes a sealant or wax look better by the oils it nourishes the paint with.

So because one person is dissapointed in mystery their wrong. Or maybe it is because ezyme is truly that much better. I prepped my car for the ezyme the same way and it was still on there a month later and hadnt changed at all. In fact it got better. I must really be horrible at this detailing thing.

No...you need to use SV Cleaner Fluid for the best adhare to the paint surface......otherwise it will just wash off

it is better you use SV CF Professtional and Strong.

Let me know , if you want to find out about mystery.....

Ya very interesting to hear you got very little durability out of Mystery. I found Mystery to be very durable. I would say try it out one more time before you toss it.

Ya no one is saying that you are wrong here. It is just that many have had great durability out of SV, me being one of them. I personally dont care for the Dodo range because of the lack of durability and i feel is a tad over priced FWIW. I sure got a lot of "feedback" like you are getting when i posted that i didnt care for it over on DW.

I do not think that anyone was saying your wrong for your disappointment. Everyone was just pointing out that they did not have similar issues. So its kind of a Problem solving thing going on here. The question that seem to be avoided the whole time is. What did you use to prep the surface before applying Mystery.

-Was also wondering if the car was used as a daily driver after it has been clayed the week before or was it just sitting in the garage during the 1 week period?
