I'm somehow just now getting around to trying Adams APC, and was wondering if its ok to dilute it, maybe 50/50 or more? I'm planning on it replacing my P21S TAW for wheel wells, engine bays and door jambs.

Try straight or 1:1 for nasty stuff like very dirty tires, wheels and inner fenders, 3:1 for jambs/engines/tires,wheels,inner fenders and 5:1 for well maintained vehicles.

Yeah the Adams APC is nothing very special

It doesn't say you can dilute on the bottle...I've never tried dilutin but it is expensive

Like 30 bucks for a gallon I think

Nor do they talk about diluting it in the video ;)

I didn't have much luck diluting it, it's quite expensive and not economical for the price. However, it does work well straight and if you don't want to spent time diluting and don't need it in large quantities. I've used Megs APC plus and now OPC, both of which are quite a bit cheaper and equal to or better.

I use it straight. Diluting it takes away from its effectiveness.

Wouldn't waste my time with it honestly.. .OPC or Meg's is much more cost effective. OPC is more expensive but I prefer it on interior (leather) rather than Megs' APC +

30.00 is insane for a APC.......... Zeps works just as good, ive tried adams, megs, optimum and I am not a cheap person, but Im not going to spend 30.00 on something that I cannot dilute. while adams is very good, Zeps is better IMO, and I am not talking just about cost vs. dilution.

OPC is the best hands down for interiors........ but Ive diluted Zeps out to 6:1 and its very gentle on interiors, so ill be switching over to pretty much ZEPs, but Ive also found Megs Ultimate degreaser is very good and leaves no white residue period. Mostly use that on motors and plastics.

Thanks for all the responses, very much appreciated. It was pretty much an impulse buy while I was ordering some Super VRT and In and Out from Phil. I have been wanting to try something different for a while and my 2 gallon jug of P21S TAW finally ran out, so I thought I'd give APC a shot. I'm just excited to try something different for a change. I've been married to TAW for years.

I've diluted it 3:1 with great success. It smells great for an APC too. It isn't harsh like many others. It's strength reminds me of the previous version of opc.

I love it. I dilute it about 5:1 and even 10:1. Very safe to use on all plastics, even at full strength. I use it to do engine bays, wheel wells, tough bugs on grills and front bumpers. If you have a Harley dealer close by you can stop in and grab a big 2 gallon jug of S100 Total Cycle Wash. It's the exact same formula, just marketed towards the biker crowd.
