Hi guys i was planning to dilute the CWG or just using P21s Taw Neat in a garden chemical sprayer. Something like this http://www.hardwarestore.com/media/product/113878_front200.jpg I intend to spray it on the car as a form of prewash and let it dwell for a bit? Do you think this will work sort of like a foam wash? Due to water restrictions i cant use a foam lance =/ Let it dwell on the paint, then rinse off and then using the 2 bucket system for a wash. Thanks Kogen
We are not even allowed to wash our cars. You can only use a bucket to clean the "important" areas of the cars- like the mirrors and the windscreens and stuff mainly spot cleaning. If you use a hose you might find yourself in a lot of trouble- Reinforced by fines. We are not even allowed to use a hose, let alone Pressure washers- You would be shot! Water saving rules for Melbourne | City of Casey - www.casey.vic.gov.au there is some info on the situation ^_^
Cool thanks.! i have tried the waterless systems. well i not a big fan of them. Love the good old washing methods just a personal preference i suppose. I guess that is why i am looking for alternative to replace the foam wash step. Would the method i mentioned be good enough to loosen the dirt and grim, lifting them from the paint before the actual bucket wash?
Wow, Very tough situation. I don't know what I would do if couldn't wash my car. The ONR sounds like a very good idea...:thumb:
Yup the ONR looks like a great system to work with, but i am looking more towards the pre-wash step to loosen the dirt and all. Water restrictions is like a detailer's worse nightmare i guess? I do not really mind the water problem as i am going to buy a few liters of distilled water for dilutions and maybe for a rinse. Just the fact of no hose / no pressure wash. Thanks for the ONR thou ill look more into it.
I use a higher-than-normal ONR solution here in the freezing months to pre-soak with a sprayer all the road salt/grime every week before doing an ONR wash. It's not a perfect solution but better than using the local touchless washes. I used a hose once in the winter...turned the driveway into an ice rink. In my experience TAW takes a good bit of water to rinse all the residue, that and if you're using it undiluted whatever protection will be stripped off.
-spK : Well i think the water restriction has been up for awhile now at least a few years i would think. -Charlie02GLS : I almost forgot about that! washing away the residue, i have heard also about it. Is this the same case as CG CWG? Another factor - CG CWG = $44 AUD for a gallon - ONR = $43 AUD for 32oz I would think that the CWG might be more value for the dollar I am also thinking of something that i can use to strip wax when i need it to and also dilute it to use as a prewash as i do not have anything in my detailing arsenal that can strip wax. Cheers kogen
