Richy recently sent me an updated version of the Duragloss Nano Sealant beta for testing. I was quite impressed with the first version so was anxious to see what this version would do. As the test mule this time around was a brand new X3, I'll skip the usual blah, blah, blah about what I did. The car was pretty much spotless upon arrival. I didn't notice any real difference in the application of the product. Both products, the polish and the clear sealant ( they are both actually sealants) were extremely easy to apply and remove. My only complaint with the earlier version and this one is that they disappear when applied. I found myself applying more product than I needed to to see where I had applied it. Otherwise, very easy to use and the finished look is fantastic! I wiped the truck down with DG Aquawax after applying the sealants and it was extremely slick. The X3 upon arrival. Showed up complete with a few bird bombs for contrast. I'm thinking blueberries. There was a little brake dust, but thats about it. All jambs were spotless. Wish we got more like this! After washing, we sprayed the truck down with IronX to remove any bonded contaminants. Seems it wasn't totally spotless. Etching left after the bird bomb was removed. Two hits of Menz Fast Gloss 500 removed it completely. Dealership decal. This wouldn't survive. After all, I don't think Mr Jessel is sending them a monthly cheque for advertising! Afters... Wheels got Blackfire All Metal Sealant. All jambs and sills also got sealant. Interior got a light cleaning and leather conditioner. Reflection courtesy of Autoglym Car Glass Polish. I love these headlights. Engine was dressed with the updated version of Carpro PERL. Very nice look to it.
As far as I know Sergei, they are still in the development stage. Im excited about these hitting the market as they are sooo easy to use. When applied with a PC, there is almost nothing to remove as far as residue goes. Watch for updates on the M5 I did with this product as I wash it weekly and will be taking pics every time I do it to see what kind of durability it has.
Thanks for the pics. They look excellent, especially considering white is so hard to photograph, and make stand out. I'm looking forward to the new duragloss sealant. I wish they would hurry up! LOL
Ken, it looks amazing. I always incorporate DG 501 into my white paint jobs due to the fantastic job it does of cleaning the paint, but this X3 probably did not need it. The paint glows. I love white when it is done properly!! This shot is very cool...how long on the tripod did you have the lens open for??
