i'm really confused about detailing cars. i trying to get a better understanding of people that detail cars at the dealership, from what i hear they charge anywhere from 75-200 dollars to detail a car. what i'm trying figure what steps of cleaning a car is in that price range? kevin
depends on what u want to do.a wash and wax can start at 50 for a small vehicle and go up.if u use an extractor and start doing paint correction it can start at 150.basically what u want to do is atleast make it worth your time.i typically try to charge 20/hr if the car is really bad i may go as much as 30/hr.once u detail a few cars ull get an idea how long it takes u and u can go from there.
You are not going to get the indepth detail by the dealership you are going by someone that does it for a living. For an example I have yet to see a detailer at a dealership use clay. Usually the steps I have seen is wash it, buff it with an off brand polish, dress the tires and clean the windows. How was snowboarding this weekend?
